Sonar Technology: CHIRP, DownScan, SideScan

CHIRP Sonar

Usually, a fishfinder uses a standard single or dual frequency signal to determine fish targets. This device comes with the Chirp sonar technology which uses multiple frequencies simultaneously to increase the sensitivity of the fish. While doing this, it won’t increase clutter on the surface.

StructureScan

StructureScan Offers photo-like images to the side of the boat or kayak. You can locate fish-holding structure with brilliant clarity. Please note that StructureScan requires an optional TotalScan transducer. This package comes with a TotalScan Transducer.

The broadband sonar is perfect for tracking the lure position and action while marking the fish lot with. As we have mentioned, the Downscan imaging gives easy to understand the view of the structure and the bottom. It provides a picture view to understanding quickly and easily. Chirp or other sonar can be used at a time only. You are requested to read the manual on Lowrance’s site.

DownScan Imaging

DownScan is a new technology by Lowrance to offer you a crispy image of what is beneath your boat. It is the ability of the fish finder to provide photo-like images of the bottom and structures directly from the boat. These picture-like images make it easy for the angler to understand and act accordingly.

In a nutshell, Lowrance Elite 7 Ti is one of the best of it’s type for fishfinding. The big display with tons of feature makes it super easy to use this device. The only downside is that you can’t use the CHIRP and side scanner at the same time. Overall, this is one of my most favorite fishfinder for finding fishes.
